Heroes Renewed for 2008/09 Season

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

Some great news – NBC have officially announced that they will be renewing “Heroes” for the 2008/09 season. Whilst this is hardly surprising news, it is good to see it become ‘official’.

more here:

“We are thrilled to be bringing back the high-energy dramas ‘Chuck’ and Life’ for next season,” said Silverman. “Additionally, we will be saving and re-launching our #1 drama and most successful franchise, ‘Heroes,’ so that it will run in all original episodes in the fourth quarter.”

“These pickups are a sign of our confidence in these quality series and will allow the respective producers to get a head start on their creative arc for next season,” said Graboff. “As a result, they give us a lot to build on as we point to next year’s schedule.”

“Heroes” is NBC’s #1 series this season in adults 18-49, the #1 Monday series on any network in adults 18-49 and the #1 scripted series on any network in adults 18-34. This season, “Heroes” has averaged a 6.2 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49 and 13.1 million viewers overall.

Don’t Forget: Heroes Post Show!

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Hey people, just a reminder about the Heroes ‘Post Show’ which is going down later on today (Saturday Nov 3) on G4. Here are some details for your diary:

On G4, the first six episodes of season two will air on Saturday, November 3
from 5:00-11:00pm et/pt, followed by The Post Show at 11pm.

The Post Show is a live, half-hour Heroes wrap-up show immediately following each regularly scheduled episode of Heroes (which will air on Saturdays at 10pm et/pt) on G4. It will be premiering Saturday, November 3 at 11:00pm et/pt, and will feature live chats and polls, exclusive interviews with cast and crew members, behind-the-scenes footage, and other exclusive content. The show will repeat on Sundays at 7pm.

This week, our pals Ryan Gibson Stewart of HeroesWiki, and DC of Heroes-Clues  will be guests on the Post Show, along with cast/crew members.  We can’t reveal all of the exciting details, but you won’t want to miss it!

G4 will then regularly air each week’s current episode of Heroes on Saturdays at 10:00pm et/pt. The Heroes Post Show will continue to air on Saturdays at 11:00pm et/pt and will repeat on Sundays at 7pm.

If any of you in the Southern California area and would like to be part of the live studio audience drop DC a line at HeroesClues@gmail.com and she’ll hook you up with more info.

Fans not in Southern California don’t have to miss out: Among other interactive features, G4 is also accepting Video Viewer Mail sent in via Stickam. Ask a question about the show and, if yours is selected, you could be sent some cool Heroes swag, which could be something as cool as autographed pictures, or DVD box sets.

A fun ad for the G4 Heroes content can be found here:

Heroes-Clues will also be running a Post Show trivia contest at the site this weekend – another great opportunity to score some Heroes loot.

With all the depressing news about Heroes: Origins being cancelled and Season 2 possibly ending early this is the perfect pick me up, so whatever you’re doing this weekend don’t forget to check out all of the above!

Heroes to End Early!

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Heroes fans across the globe are bracing themselves for what could well be an early end to series 2! The potential writers strike has struck fear into those at NBC and as a result Tim Kring and company are prepping to create an alternate earlier than planned ending which will serve as a season finale rather than a season ‘bridge’, in case the writers strike is not averted. TV Guide have more:

Heroes‘ second season may be coming to a close a lot sooner than expected due to the forthcoming apocalypse, also known in some circles as the damn writers’ strike.Sources confirm that the show is going back and shooting an alternate ending to the Dec. 3 episode that, if used, would allow the episode to function as a season finale in the event of a strike. Originally, the episode was only supposed to serve as the conclusion of the current “Generations” arc. Should an 11th-hour agreement be reached and a strike averted (fingers crossed!), the alt ending would likely be scrapped.
