Below are the Heroes Clues, analysis and screencaps for episode 2.04 of Heroes: “The Kindness of Strangers”. 

Monica mimics the tomato decoration that she saw on TV without realising that she was doing it – note: it is actually ‘better’ than the one she copied.

Nathan’s photo of the 12 elders. They are (from top left to right): some unknown blonde woman, Linderman (Dead), Arthur “Dallas” Petrelli (Dead), Angela Petrelli, Kaito Nakamura (Dead), “Bob”, a brunette woman, Papa Parkman (Matt’s father), another woman, Charles Deveaux (Dead) and a dark haired man. 

Four of these people are dead – Charles died of Cancer (although Kaito hinted that he may have been killed via foul play), Arthur Petrelli apparantly died from suicide, Linderman was killed by D.L., who phased his fist through his head, and Kaito was pushed from the rooftop by “The Hooded Guy”, and subsequently died. From the remaining 8 we only know the identity of  TWO, ‘possibly’ THREE: Bob (Company man), Ma Petrelli and Matt’s father ‘might’ be the nightmare man.

Another shot of Nathan’s alternate face – which once again only appears to himself when he looks in mirrors. Once he smashed the mirror he saw his ‘true’ reflection once again.

Micah’s hand of comfort could perhaps have unwittingly ’amplified’ Monica’s ability to mimic, as we see a nice close-up of her eye’s ‘recording’ Rey Mysterio’s “619″.

Monica uses the wrestling move that she saw on television.

The Godsend symbol can be seen in Molly’s eyes when she tells Matt that his father is the “Nightmare Man”.

Here are the Heroes Clues for the episode “Kindred“:

Confirmation that D.L. is dead. Though there are still rumours that all is not as it seems.

Sylar wakes up in one of Candice’ illusionary worlds (A), he demands that she shows him “whats real”, and her illusion deteriorates (B) to reveal the reality that he is stuck in a room with his body still badly injured from Hiro’s sword (C).

The bumper sticker on the Nissan is that of the Conquistadors, which is the mascot of Claire’s high school (Costa Verde). So this is Claire’s car which was stolen in “Lizards”, and the guy in the picture (who Maya momentarily killed before Alejandro negated her power) is the ‘new’ owner..or the likely thief of Claire’s car. It will be interesting to see how this will play in to the overriding storyline, as he is now on the run with Maya and Alejandro.

Sylar kills Candice and reveals her ‘true’ form. Notice how Sylar takes her power, yet her head is still intact, which suggests that he doesn’t eat the brains in order to ‘understand’ the powers of specials. Although it could be argued that since her power didn’t work for him, perhaps he does need to consume the brain. I would still disagree with that, as I have never believed that he has to eat the brain to understand their powers – he knows how things work by studying how the pieces go together.

The ‘Godsend’ markings on Wests neck. Which suggests that he is known to the company, and of course Noah, who he claims captured him.

In the 8/8 painting, Noah discovers that he will be the last of the ‘elders’ to die. In the background we can see Claire kissing some guy who could well be West. It is not clear whether West has something to do with the supposed death of Noah or whether there is actually more to this than it seems. One thing seems certain however, and that is Noah will get a bullet through his left eye.

Below are our Heroes Clues, screencaps & analysis for Episode 2 of Season 2: “Lizards”.

The Butler’s newspaper headline reads: “Nationwide Crime Rate Down By 10% As Population Increases”. This is odd because you would expect crime to increase in the face of increasing population. Could this be something to do with ‘Heroes’ (known and unknown) using their powers for good, and thus helping to reduce crime across the country?

Is this figure of 10% a future nod to 1 in 10 people eventually having abilities?

Newspaper reports Kaito’s murder. The image on the right is the same as the one Isaac painted, which is part of a series that make up a puzzle.

The detective gives the surrounding location of the murder point and in doing so says “WEST“. Could this be a subtle way of telling us that West is in fact the murderer of Kaito? It would fit, as ‘The Hooded Guy’ appeared to have a similar build..furthermore the officer also sarcastically suggested that the murderer either fell or ‘flew’ away. Too obvious a foreshadowing? Perhaps..but then watch this space!

Peter displays ‘D.L.-like’abilities to phase his hands through the rope. This is the FOURTH new ability (fifth overall) that he has displayed so far this season – they are: Healing, “Hadoken”, Super strength, telekinesis, and phasing.

‘A’ – Peter emits his “Hadoken” bolt, ‘B’ the thug feels the full effect as it knocks him out and ‘C’, Peter uses telekinesis to release the gun from the other thugs grip.

Close-up of Maya’s ‘self-infliction’. So it would seem that her infliction reflects upon those who see her. Which suggests that another way to prevent others from dyeing is for them to not look at her or close their eyes – the other option is Alejandro’s polar presence.

Here we can see something new – Previously it was believed that Alejandro only needed to be in Maya’s presence to prevent her ability from activating – now we see that he can also ‘conciously’ revert the damage that her ability does to others…but only within a limited time-frame. Nidia was luck that Alejandro got there in time.

Mrs Petrelli thinks “Get out of my head!!”, as Parkman is probing her. Does this suggest that she also has an ability, seeing as she knew he was reading her mind? Or was it simply due to his sudden line of questioning that drew her suspicion? If it’s the former, it could be argued that SHE is the person worse than the boogieman, seeing as it could mean she has the ability to enter other ‘specials’ subconscious.

Frames of Mrs Petrelli being ‘attacked’. Was this a ploy by her to win Nathan’s favour, or did was she really attacked? If she was the person was either invisible (Claude) or has some-kind of conscious-entering ability (Ala, ‘the person worse than Sylar’, perhaps). Or they decided not to show them to us.

The Anti-Company Team. Mohinder, Noah and the Haitian joined forces in this episode: Mohinder saved the Haitian’s life using his remedy, however although it ‘appeared’ that the Haitian had robbed Mohinder’s memory, what we didn’t see was their plan for Mohinder to ‘pretend’ that his memory was taken, so that the Haitian could escape the clutches of ‘The Company’ whilst giving Mohinder a viable excuse to spiel to Bob Midas. In the meantime we then see Mohinder and Noah continuing to conspire against ‘The Company’, whilst Noah’s old friend the Haitian shows up at Copy Kingdom.

In short, all 3 men appear to be working together in order to bring down the company..least that’s how I interpreted it.

‘A’ – Claire’s pinkie toe after she cuts it off, ‘B’ Claire’s pinkie begins to regenerate…just like a Lizard.

One question I would have if I was her, would be how many times can she lose body parts before they no longer regenerate..or it it unlimited? Also..she cut off her pinkie because her teacher told her that it was one of the “junk” features that we humans no longer ‘need’ – would she regenerate if she cut off a feature that wasn’t “junk” – i.e. her head?

Below are screencaps and analysis of key aspects and potential clues from episode 2.01: “Four Months Later”.

Mohinder’s projection demonstrates regeneration and refers to ‘MHC’ – which is an abbreviation for Myosin Heavy Chains. In a nutshell Myosins are a group of proteins which are are responsible for the single/multicellular organism ability to move independently and sponteaneously.  It would appear that Mohinders slide shows an example of the rapid growth (or regeneration) of such cells. This would perhaps allude to Claire’s ability and one of Peter’s ‘borrowed’ abilities.

This slide is similar to his father’s map seen in season 1, which shows the location and details of all known ‘Heroes’.

One of our readers asked me who the person on the paper was -I ca confirm that it seems to be Mohinder’s picture on his lecture sheet. So no conspiracy there.

English translation: “Wanted: They are sought, sought by Homicide. If you’ve seen these people, please contact the national police.”

A, B and E are the images that Molly drew – presumably the ‘boogeyman’ that inhabits her nightmares. Notice they all have the ‘Symbol’between their eyes. Both Kaito and Angela Petrelli (C & D) also have the symbol drawn between their eyes. What is the connection between this ‘boogeyman’ and Kaito/Angela? It would appear that they/the company therefore know who the ‘boogeyman’ is. Is he linked to the person who pushed Kaito off the building?

By request – Yup, it is Nathan who Ando bumped into.

A, B, C & D shows blood seaping from the eye’s of the people Maya was left alone with. This is much worse than any Subconjunctival Haemorrhage! From what I gather she needs her twin brother Alejandro to be with her in order to negate the negative effect of her own ability. It is not yet clear whether Alejandro himself has a tangible ability or whether, as twin, his ability reigns Maya’s. Furthermore we do not yet know whether Maya is able to inflict herself  with this ability – though t is clear that she is terrified of what she has and might continue to do to people. Let’s hope her and Alejandro don’t leave each others side again..lest til she is able to control her talent.

The mystery person who was the ‘last person’ of the ‘remaining 7′ who Kaito expected to kill him. It is not yet clear who this is, but it’s reasonable to suspect that it could be someone we have already seen in season 1. It could also be a woman. One of our readers suggested that it could be his daughter, however from the hands the person appears to be Caucasian.

Very Nikki/Jessica-like..only not as attractive. Just what has happened to Nathan!? ‘A’ shows him looking in the mirror (which is slightly cracked) and half of his face appears to be either burned or mutated. No doubt part of the effects of Peter/the explosion. It would appear that only Nathan can see himself like this..is it in his mind? or does he literally exist within 2 realms, which two different features? My bet is that he is mutating and this mutation has affected his mind, which appears to be fractured.

It’s worth considering whether this is connected to the ‘virus’ that Mohinder forewarns..

Peter displays his new ability – a fireball/sonic-boom type skill. He doesn’t, however, appear to be in control of this ability at all – it was as if someone else was controlling his action – Peter even looked at his hand as if to say ‘that wasn’t me!’.

It is not yet clear who or what he could have absorbed such a power from, though it’s likely that the people who imprisoned him in the cargo hold have something to do with it. Unless of course this is Peter’s reaction to the ‘virus’ that Mohinder warns of?

Below are the Screencaps from yet another Heroes Promo. I’ve offered some of my own interpretations and clarified a few shots, but many of them are self explanatory. The video for this promo is also included at the end.

Someone grabs Mrs. Petrelli around the neck – My bet is that it’s either a drunk Nathan or Peter somehow morphing his hand through time and space (see 2nd from last image). However it’s ‘most likely’ to be Nathan going by the other shots of him and Ma Petrelli (see below).

On the clip it is made to look like Parkman is trying to read Mrs. Petrelli’s mind but is being re-directed to the mind of another person (male), who cries: “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!”. However this is not ‘cannon’ since it could be a voice-over from a different scene.

Hiro to Kensei: “The future may not exist as I know it”

Noah to Claire, saying what sounds like: “God will test you”

Claire faces some hard times at her new school.

Molly to Parkman: “I said I didn’t want to talk about it!”

“How are you to judge who lives and who dies?”

 Here are the Screencaps and analysis for NBC’s Heroic Monday Promo (I’ve got rid of all the Chuck/Journey Man stuff for added convenience ;)):

Hero meets Kensei (I think) and simply cannot hold in his delight!

Somethings going down in Feudal Japan – Exactly what is anyone’s guess, but it might have something to do with Kensei.

Peter is seemingly being held captive and his captors don’t appear to be too friendly by the looks of that guy behind him. Peter also looks pretty worn out and his eye’s are kinda bloodshot – I guess that’s what ‘going nuclear’ will do to you..

It looks like Peter is in somekind of cell or holding room and someone or something is approaching him – the ‘Boogieman’ perhaps? Though it’s probably just him about to shield his eyes from the light as someone opens the door or something boring like that.

The now iconic shot of Sylar on the rooftops near the end of Season 1. But why choose to use ‘this’ particular shot? – the moment from when he was perhaps at his most powerful..is the suggestion therefore that when we first meet him in Season 2 he will be power-less? Also they show this right after showing Peter..it will be worth seeing whether there is any relevance in this. Or perhaps I’m putting too much faith in the editing skills of the VT guy?..

Hiro says “YATTA!”. Not sure why – but notice Kensei(?) behind him..he appears to fall off his horse!?

I found this interesting – In this promo (A) he looks angry..almost as if someone has gotten the better of him..which contrasts greatly to the clip of him in the other promo (B), where he is calm and relaxed..almost as if he is in a dream state. My guess is that when we first meet Sylar in Season 2 it will be inside his dream (B) – I also think that he has lost his powers..tho i’m sure he’ll get them back (but at what price?). Just a guess..perhaps you think differently?

This must be Hiro landing in Feudal Japan – though it’s clear that they used a ’prop dummy’ to shoot this scene (look at the arms..they’re bird-like!)

It looks like Peter isn’t the only one being held captive. Not sure who this girl is, but I bet she has powers. Anyway, they seem to be locked in a room of somesort, overseeing the people who have captured them, perhaps?

Hiro running up to Kensei saying “I’ve come from the future” – which I find quite ironic actually..so like, we now have TWO Future Hiro’s. Anyway, Kensei appears to stop to listen to him, but the fact that he was walking away in the first place suggests that he either doesn’t initially believe Hiro (is from the future)..or that he doesn’t care.

Claire cutting off her toe(?) again..

Ali looking all beautiful..though I would’ve preferred an actual episode clip!

And so the Heroes part of this promo ends where it began..with Hiro in feudal Japan either running towards something or running away from those who appear to be aiming arrows at him.

OK, one more, just because it’s such an awesome image – Amazing what a red background can do!

Like most Heroes fans I enjoy looking for clues and foreshadowing from each episode which might help shape future episodes. So I thought that I would start a weekly ‘Clues’ segment where I will explore the potential clues from each episode – this will include screencaps and analysis – where I give my own reasoned interpretation and thoughts. Since the new episodes don’t start until Sept. 24, I thought i’d break down the official promo for clues in the meantime:
 

“New Stories Begin” – The opening title of the Season 2 Promo Segment.

Who is this woman? It looks like she is in feudal Japan so it could possibly be a love interest of Kensei..or perhaps Hiro..

Nikki tells Micah “This is our chance at a normal life..”

Nikki goes on to say “I have to do this”, Micah replies “That’s what you always say when you’re about to do something bad”. So it appears that Nikki and Micah have been followed by someone – perhaps the ‘company’? She might be about to let ‘Jessica’ come out in order to protect them from whoever is after them?

Well at least we know than Nathan lives, huh;) Interestingly he seems to have lost the beard that he’s been seen with in some of the other previews. Also does he have a drink problem..has he gone off the rails? Someone seems to have smashed that mirror. Also, mirrors are often symbolic references to internal reflection or soul searching..does Nathan blame himself for Peter’s..disappearance?

Claire at her new school. This dude seems to be implying that he wants to see her powers..and that he has powers to – “You don’t have to hide everything interesting about you”

Claire appears to cut off her toe (why!??) and utters “Nooo Waaay!”. Yes Claire, you can regenerate..didn’t you know!?

This is Kensei – notice the swords which almost appear to kneel before him. No wonder he’s known as “The Sword Saint”.

Mohinder on the phone saying: “They’ll be watching me more closely now”. Who is he speaking to and who will be watching him more closely..those are the questions. If we take Season 1′s narrative into consideration then it is likely that he is speaking to either Matt Parkman or Mr. Bennet and the people who are watching him more closely are ‘the company’. Just a guess.

Matt Parkman seems to be hunting someone down – is he using his powers to do so?

Mr. Bennet still has those Horned-Rimmed!

Sylar lives! Though he seems ‘different’, almost as if he’s in some kind of dream state – notice the sky in the background, almost suggesting that he’s floating. Also he’s speaking to what appears to be a woman with brown hair, saying: “So none of this is real?”.  Intriguing!

Now I don’t know what this says, but for anyone who has been following the Yamagato Fellowship Documentary thing, you may recall Chapter 2 being about the ‘Fire Scrolls’. Could this be one such scroll??

Claire looking very boyish, seemingly asking HRG what would happen if someone in their new town found out about her abilities. This seems to be sign that Claire is tempted to tell her new boyfriend about her powers. Though I could be wrong.

Claire’s new boyfriend looking highly dubious. Can she really trust him..i’m not so sure.

Parkman questioning Mrs Petrelli, asking her “Who want’s revenge Mrs Petrelli!?”. Does Mrs Petrelli work for the company..just what does she know? Certainly she’s more capable than was made out for much of Season 1.

Claire and her new love interest kiss..but if you ask me they also appear to be floating..or even flying. So, does he also have an ability? Still don’t trust him.

Kensei and Hiro. So Kensei isn’t Asian – it will be interesting to find out why that is. Perhaps he once bent time and space like Hiro..Perhaps this isn’t the original Kensei..who knows?

Maya get’s startled by something or other. In another promo she can be seen with what appears to be ‘blood’ pouring from her eye’s. What does this tell us about her abilities..or rather..affliction..?

Hiro watches yet another eclipse..a sign all too ominous. Just what will be activated this time?

Mohinder appears to be giving a lecture – “The fate of humanity itself hangs in the balance”.

A stark contrast to the ‘night-time’ eclipse (so to speak) that we’re so used to seeing in season 1 – Hiro watches a ‘day-time’ eclipse in feudal Japan.
